For those unfamiliar with the DISC profile, this sums it up:
The trip to the mall.
An "I" sees a group of people she/he knows and goes over, gets in the middle of the group and has everyone laughing.
An "S" sees a group of people she/he knows and talks to a few one on one.
A "C" sees a group of people she/he knows and pretends not to see them and continues shopping.
A "D" doesn't go to the mall, she/he sends someone else.
Now, supposedly it helps one to know which "type" one is, and which "type" one's co-workers are, so we can all better understand each other and work together.
I'm sorry to say it, but I tremble when I find out someone is an "S". I just don't know how to deal with S's. It's very complicated and requires choosing one's words carefully, and even if said words are chosen carefully, they are usually mis-understood and turned into something negative.
***Sigh***
So, which type then, do you think I am? |

Time is flying.
I've been busy and tired lately. Don't have a lot to say, but the Halloween pictures have to go. Here's a few from our zoo trip.

The little flower came to visit Grammie at work. And, in front of my coworkers she finally spoke my name - "Gi" :)

This was a perfect day to go to the zoo. It was sunny, and around 60 degrees. The animals were more lively since the weather was cooler, and we were definately more lively.
There were lots of cute costumes, but no flowers as pretty as our little flower, Leela. :)

Well, I have to admit that the volume level has gone down considerably with one tiny little 4 lb dog gone. Hmmmm. I hear that Ella has it pretty good in her new home. She travels around in a purse and gets LOTS of attention.
Tomorrow I will be mailing the clothes from the auction.
Saturday we're going to "Boo at the Zoo". Leela gets to wear her costume. It should be fun, and the weather should be PERFECT - not too hot, not too cold.
Last Saturday it was 80. We went to the pumpkin farm and it was way too hot. This week has been in the 50s and 60s - MUCH better!!
And, DRUM ROLL..... Leela is going to Bible Class now. It is SO CUTE. She has been real good about it as far as we can tell. She looked so cute Wed night walking down the hallway after class carrying her papers. She gets all happy and smiley when I sing "Day one, day one, God made light when there was none...". She says "Bible" now, in her Leela way of saying it. She tends to say the first part of words, but usually doesn't finish them.
I've stayed up way too late baking with the apples someone at work gave me. Upside Down Apple Cake and Apple Crisp. Neither fit well into the WW flex plan...
Have a good weekend everyone. |
