Miranda and I pull up to the star bucks drive threw speaker to order our drinks and the man taking our order sounds particularly flirty when he said, “I'll see you ladies at the window”. We turn to each other with large smiles on our faces wondering what this flirtatious employee looks like. We pull up to the window and once the employee hands Miranda our coffees I suggest to her that she should tell him she enjoyed seeing him at the window. She looks up to the boy before he closes the window and calmly says, “It was good seeing you at the window”. She started to drive away, but he responded by asking, “i'm sorry, what did you say?” She then repeated her self and he stuttered by saying “um..you too..”
While talking over an amazing cup of Joe in her car I told Miranda that I wanted to buy some chairs for my dorm room. She asked me why, because I had new ones just last year. I told her that they broke. She looked at me in a disappointed way as if it were my fault and I had done something to break them. In my defense I looked at her with an apologetic expression saying, “I have fat friends...”
Miranda thought that was the funniest thing and couldn't control her laughter. In that moment and in our car we approached a group of people walking by. We were on a road and they were not at a cross walk, but they didn't seem to mind that Miranda was driving on that road they wanted to cross. To Mirandas surprise, who had guessed they would stop for her car, they sped their step up and she missed those attempting to walk into our car by an inch. Had they not seen us? I just don't know. There is something about black friday that makes us all a little crazy. On a solemn note, we should all be careful of being crazy at one time. This black Friday many individual crazy people got together and made a massive crazy person stampede which resulted in a Walmart employee being trampled to death.
Though, Miranda and I got crazy we didn't get crazy enough that we were going to jump off a waterfall cliff. Miranda and I decided to go on a hiking trip... In the rain...in our brand new shoes...for three miles...alone. When we finally got to the top of the water fall we sat down to rest. A family passed by and pointed out to us where the path was and advised us not to jump to our deaths. Apparently we seemed so professional that they thought we were going to scale the 90 degree cliff with out any equipment. We wanted to rest more, but noticed the family wasn't going to pass threw until they had made sure we weren't planning on doing something dangerous, so we kept on trucking.
I've got a workbook and planning guide, pocket wedding planner, fashion and beauty guide, 12 organizational folders ( ceremony / attire / photography / videograph / stationery / reception / music / bakery / flowers / transporation / timelines / miscellaneous)Poster size checklist and a durable carrying case for all of the above :)
John is stationed in South Korea and he wants me to go with him. That would mean that I have to plan a wedding in five months while working two jobs, being an officer of kappa delta, being the secretary of the psychology club and going to school. I don't think it can be done.
He will be stationed for one year there and gets a three week leave in that time. So, I could have him go to Korea with out me in May and then plan the wedding this summer and get married in the late fall. Then I could go to school there as an exchange student for a semester of study abroad.
Being apart is tuff. Brent was in Korea after we were married for a year and it was tuff..If you need help with the wedding I would love to help you..Go if you can would be my advise if you are ready for that
I know a girl gets married only once and she has the plans of a perfect wedding in her head. But, looking back over 20 years of marriage, I'd give up the fancy wedding in a heartbeat just to be with the man I love. Being with the right man is so much more important than the wedding. All that is needed is love and commitment.
Still, I planned a wedding in three months while working full-time and away from my family. It can be done! Course, you could always get married first, get shipped out, come home and then have a fancy wedding when you get back, if you find your heart still wants it. All your family and friends will still be around when you return.
I am not sure if there are words to express what I am thinking. Priorities. You have to decide what most important to you. No one can make that choice for you. Just consider all your options. You have many people you love you very much willing to help. But accepting help can be hard. I suppose.
I miss you soooo much. And I am very happy for you and John. Andrew and I love you both so very much. And to know that he has put God first in his life is the most precious gift. And the fact that you guys are the cutest couple. You fit so sweet. I love you talk to you soon.
1. I want my wedding to be Disney themed. I want my bridesmaides to be dressed like the disney princesses. Do you all have any more ideas with a disney theme that I could add to my imaginary wedding?
2. Fall is my favorite time of year.
-I'm the most comfortable in layers.
-I love jumping in leaves
-Thanksgiving!!!!(this year i'll be spending thanksgiving with johns family. I like them but I'm REALLY sad about it! I don't want to go, but someone told me that relationships are give and take .. or something like that so i guess I have to since he's kinda amazing )
-I heart black friday shopping
3. If my world is falling apart I need five things. They are listed in order of importance.
- Prayer
-Family
- sippie cup
- a snuggle balnket
- i'm in love with number five...yes my sippie cup goes befor John :)
4. I LOVE children and I hope mine are a healthy fat until the age of four. I want to have nine boys and one girl only two of which are biologically related to me.... and my husband.
5.I want to jet ski, camp/hike, white water raft, dirt bike and travel on a regular basis.
6. I want my children to be bilingual, play any sport they like as long as they play, play any instriment they like as long as they play, and be involved in a social organization like brownies or boys scouts. I'm probably going to be a crazy mom that bubble wraps her children, but i figure i'll do a better job then an orphanage.
7. I'm a psychology major, business and spanish double minor.
I am a little sad that we will not be together during black friday. But ... I understand and you know that I love you and want the best for you and john so I can swallow that but know you will be very very very missed.
