David was released this afternoon after he had dialysis this morning. When I talked with him, he said he did not feel good after dialysis but he called when he got back to Sharon's to let me know he was okay but really sore and ready for meds.
I took Mom to the Doctor this morning. It was supposed to be a regular checkup but she is having some issues. She started breaking out in a rash Sunday or Monday. She has a red blotch around one of her eyes and all over her arms. It has not appeared anywhere else yet. He THINKS it looks more like allergic reaction to something but it is funny it is only on the arms. He referred her to a dermatologist? She is not walking as well as she has in the past and he is not sure if it is the dementia or possible the arthritis getting worse. She has generally had a good day. Appetite is good and she had her "baby" in tow.
Thank you all for helping David through all this. |

They removed the HUGE blood clot and flushed the stint. I talked with him about half hour ago and he said it hurts worse than he thought it would but they gave him some good drugs. They plan to dialize him in the morning. Hopefully he will start feeling much better. He is supposed to go home tomorrow. |

This morning David went to dialysis and got sent home. They could not dialize him this morning because he has a blood clot in the fistula (the blood vessels where they stick the needles) so they sent him home until the doctor could call that could do a surgical proceedure to take it out.
David called saying they cannot do it until tomorrow but he did not feel comfortable with that so he called his doctor. He wanted to see him so in he went. The area is red, swollen, tender AND infected. They now have him in an observation/treatment room administering IV antibiotics. He will have the proceedure as soon as feasible.
Please continue prayers. This blood clot would have to be huge to stop dialysis or to be in that area of his arm. Thank you all once again.... |

The MRI results that David got today: No tumors or unusual growths. Everything looks normal.
Still not sure what is the cause of the headaches. There will be a sleep apnea test and he started him on another medication to see if it helps with the headaches.

I did not want to wait to do this post.
We had a terrific trip to Sharon's then on to Bowling Green, Ky. Mom did so well on the trip. She had her moments and so did I but all in all....
David had to be back to Sharon's Sat night so he could be at dialysis at 5:00 this morning and be off the machine in time to go to worship services. He called about 20 min before his treatment was over to ask one of us to pick him up. He was having a rough time. His Blood pressure had dropped to 80/30 and his headache was really bad. Joe rode with Sharon to pick him up and drive his car home. He went to bed while we went to services. He slept most of the day.
The hardest part for him about feeling so bad on this day was the fact that he was supposed to be one of the speakers today. He wanted to surprise me and Joe. The will still let him do it next week but we will not (in all probability) be able to attend.
He is to get the results of his MRI tomorrow. Please remember him in your solicitations to God. As always, thank you all in advance. |
